Most restaurants in Xinjie Town do not have printed menus. You can walk straight into the kitchen to view fresh ingredients and place your order. You may order signature local dishes or freely combine ingredients as you like.

If you charter a car to the scenic areas, it is advisable to bring your own food. There are very few restaurants near the terraces, and their prices are quite high.

It serves authentic traditional Hani cuisine from Yuanyang. Be sure to inform the waitstaff in advance if you cannot tolerate spicy food.

Opening Hours: 09:00 – 21:00 Located on the ground floor of Terraces Apartment in Xinjie Town, it specializes in Yuanyang local flavors and Sichuan-style dishes. Breakfast can be prepared as early as 6:00 a.m. with prior reservation.

Opening Hours: 09:00 – 22:00 On the north side of Terraces Square in Xinjie Town, it is one of the few eateries in town with formal printed menus. The food quality is good, though prices are slightly higher.

Located in Xinjie Town, this rice noodle shop serves hearty, rich broth loaded with generous toppings — a quarter of a whole chicken’s worth of chicken chunks alone. The owner guarantees hot meals available by 5:30 a.m., perfectly catering to tourists heading to Duoyishu to watch the sunrise. On clear days, its terrace offers unbeatable panoramic views of layered terraces and seas of clouds.

Adjacent to Yixintang Pharmacy at Terraces Square in Xinjie Town, this restaurant has operated for over 20 years and built an excellent reputation. Its seasonal stir-fried dishes are tasty and affordably priced, well worth a try.

At the junction of Small Garden Road in Xinjie Town, it offers a wide selection of local wild vegetables and fresh wild river fish.

Opposite Yunti Shunjie Hotel in Xinjie Town (the former site of Xianrenju Restaurant), it boasts a slightly better dining environment compared to surrounding eateries and serves Sichuan-style food, yet the flavor is mediocre.

Beside Terraces Square in Xinjie Town, it delivers delicious stir-fries at reasonable prices and draws many foreign visitors who come especially for its food. The dining environment is only average, however.
