Where is Puzhehei?
Puzhehei lies in the northwest of Qiubei County, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, 13 kilometers away from the county seat. It features typical karst landforms.
The core scenic area encompasses 16 lakes of varying sizes, including Puzhehei Lake, Lotus Lake, Lantern Lake, Immortal Cave Lake, Water Sinkhole Lake and Bailong Lake. These lakes cover a total area of nearly 20,000 mu, with an average depth of 4 meters and a maximum depth of 30 meters.
Spanning 165 square kilometers, the resort boasts more than 250 scenic spots, over 300 solitary peaks, over 80 karst caves and more than 80 lakes. A 20-kilometer-long waterway lined with wild lotus stretches across over 20,000 mu of water surface, forming a 20-kilometer sightseeing water route.
The water stays crystal clear all year round, with an average depth of 3 meters and a maximum depth of 30 meters. Touring on wooden rowboats is like wandering through a traditional Chinese painting, immersing visitors in a realm of realism, fantasy, poetry and art.
The hit parent-child reality show Where Are We Going, Dad? produced by Hunan Satellite TV was filmed here in 2013.
