Xihua Park
The park climbs along towering, steep and graceful mountains. Dense woods are emerald green, dotted with blooming wild flowers. Pavilions and towers are decorated with exquisite painted beams and carved rafters, alongside numerous horizontal inscribed boards. Delicate pavilions create a quiet and pleasant atmosphere.
Glittering and colorful stalactites stand here and there. Layered stone steps stretch upward like a heavenly ladder. The limpid lake reflects surrounding scenery clearly. Lifelike stone carvings are vividly presented.
Sanyuan Cave, a natural yet perilous karst cave, perches on a sheer cliff. Its interior is as spacious as a grand hall with interconnected quiet passages. Legend has it that a Taoist hermit lived here during the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, and pavilions in the cave were first built in the Guangxu reign.
Follow the stone steps from the foot of the mountain past the main gate to the middle pavilion and a spacious courtyard. Climb the tower to overlook rolling mountains, rivers and vast farmlands.
