Fun Places to Visit in Hinggan

Aershan National Forest Park in Hinggan is nothing short of a natural oxygen bar, drawing massive crowds of tourists every year. You can soak up the bright sunshine, breathe the crisp fresh air, and feast your eyes on stunning natural scenery. My friends and I visited here in autumn, when the entire forest blazes with rich, layered fall colors. We took tons of photos that we couldn’t wait to show off to others after our trip. The national forest park also encompasses many other scenic spots. Like us, visitors can head to Camel Hump Ridge Heavenly Lake and Stone Pond Forest.

After exploring the park, my friends and I also toured downtown Aershan. Though tiny, this city serves as Hinggan’s economic and cultural hub. I recommend wandering around town after dark. The city glows with bright lights at night, and surprisingly, there are plenty of visitors out and about. You can also sample local dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner here.

For me, the most spectacular sight across Hinggan is the Halahai River, a true paradise for photography lovers. Visitors can go fishing or take river rafting trips here. We had an absolute blast, especially on the thrilling rafting runs. The only downside is the long waiting lines due to the huge number of tourists.

Travelers to Hinggan should also stop by Wuli Spring. It is reputed to be one of China’s cleanest and most precious mineral springs. The scenery here is breathtaking in autumn and wonderfully cool in summer. In spring, the land awakens to vibrant, incomparably beautiful vistas. In winter, everything is blanketed in pure white snow, creating an exceptionally serene atmosphere. This spot is suitable for travel all year round, meaning every season counts as peak tourist season here.
