Egret Island – The Torrent River and the Legend of the Gray Wolf and White Deer

Nestled deep within the ancient primeval forests of the Greater Khingan Range, Egret Island boasts picturesque mountains and rivers that remain in their untouched natural state. The Torrent River winds through the valleys of the Greater Khingan Range, looping completely around a low hillock to form a green islet surrounded by water on all sides — Egret Island on the Torrent River. A tall television transmission tower stands beside the viewing platform. Visitors may climb its steps to overlook the landscape and capture the perfect photos.

Near Egret Island

Drive around 55 kilometers from Mordaoga towards Egret Island. A viewing platform sits right beside the road and is easy to spot. (The forest track features numerous sharp bends; please drive slowly and cautiously.)
