Direct buses run from Ordos City to the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, with a journey time of around 5 hours. You can also take long-distance buses heading from Baotou to Yulin in Shaanxi Province, which pass by the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan on the way.

In addition, a special tourist shuttle line connects Dongsheng via Kangbashi to the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan Scenic Area in Ordos City, perfect for one-day trips. The tourist shuttle departs from Ordos Square in Dongsheng District at 8:00 every day. It stops at Dongsheng Hotel, Ordos Restaurant and the railway station before reaching Kangbashi Square, and then continues to the mausoleum scenic area. The return trip back to Dongsheng departs from the scenic area at 16:30.
