Travel Itineraries in Wenshan

Admire the picturesque landscapes of Puzhehei and experience the peaceful idyllic life of Bamei Village, a real-life Peach Blossom Land.

Day 1 Take a coach from Wenshan Bus Station to Qiubei County. Shuttle buses run between Qiubei County and Puzhehei Scenic Area. Explore the stunning scenery, enjoy the vast stretches of lotus flowers on the lake, and join the local fun of water fights. Stay overnight at a hotel inside Puzhehei Scenic Area or head back to Qiubei County.

Day 2 Ride a long-distance bus from Qiubei Bus Station to Guangnan County (about 2 hours). Then take a minibus for another 2 hours to reach Bamei Village. Upon arrival in the afternoon, check into a local family-run inn and wander around the village. The rural scenery at dusk presents a unique tranquil charm.

Day 3 Take a morning stroll and appreciate the mist-shrouded farmlands. Continue sightseeing in Bamei in the morning. Head back to Guangnan at noon and proceed to Babao Scenic Area. Boating along the Babao River is recommended to enjoy the riverside views. Sanla Waterfall is also located here, so you can visit it on the same trip before the end of the tour.

Take a coach from Wenshan Bus Station to Malipo County, then travel to Laoshan Scenic Area. Visit the foxholes and the monument on the main peak of Laoshan to embrace the patriotic spirit. You can also experience the simple and honest customs of ethnic groups living in the borderland.

Afterwards, take a bus from Malipo to Tianbao Port to view the national gate. Feel free to buy local specialties and souvenirs at the border market, then return to Wenshan after the tour.
