The best visiting period is from June to November each year, especially in summer. This is the rainy season, when the waterfall has abundant and clear water, and the surrounding vegetation is lush. Though the waterfall never dries up in other seasons, the water flow decreases, with more rocks and soil exposed, which will affect the viewing experience.

Self-driving is the most convenient way to get here due to limited public transport. It is about 140 kilometers from Nanning to Daxin County, and another 60-plus kilometers from Daxin County to Detian Waterfall. Start from Nanning, take the Nanning-Youyiguan Expressway and exit at Chongzuo. Then follow Provincial Highway 213, which features good road conditions, and you will arrive at Detian Waterfal
