After you buy the island admission ticket and exit the port, you will find plenty of local tricycles and vans available for hire. You can negotiate the fare, and the prices are generally reasonable. The local residents here are simple and honest.

Upon arriving on the island, you may first head to the Catholic Church in the town, then proceed to Colorful Beach. Grab lunch at a food stall near the beach, or dine at eateries around Nanwan Town Market. Apart from seafood, you can also find fast-food restaurants and rice noodle shops here. You may buy fresh seafood at the market and have it cooked on site.

After lunch, visit Crocodile Hill Park, which takes about two hours. If you still have spare time, take a stroll at Shuidanping Beach, boasting stunning sea water and fine sand. A one-hour visit here is sufficient.

Make sure to set off for the port at least one and a half hours before your scheduled departure, to leave enough time for boarding procedures. (Note: This is on the premise that you have already obtained your return ferry ticket and do not need to queue for it.)

If you are unfamiliar with the island routes for a one-day trip, renting a bicycle is not recommended. Please be reminded that ferry tickets are non-refundable if you miss the departure.
