Is the Hanyuan Pear Blossom Festival fun?

Every March, Jiuxiang Town, known as a land of blossoms and fruits, sees tens of thousands of mu of pear orchards in full bloom. Both banks of the Liusha River turn into a vast sea of flowers. As the spring breeze blows, pear trees are covered with pure white blossoms, heavy enough to bend the branches. The magnificent scene lives up to the line: Its whiteness outshines all under heaven; its beauty surpasses every flower on earth.

During this period, pear blossoms in Jiuxiang Town, peach blossoms in Shengou Village of Shuangxi Township and large cherry blossoms in Qingxi Town bloom one after another. The splendid floral scenery lasts for a whole month.

Hanyuan is a must-visit destination this March.

You can take a direct coach from Chengdu to Jiuxiang Town, or travel to Hanyuan first and then transfer to a local coach heading for Jiuxiang.

For self-driving tourists: Exit the Yaxi Expressway at Jiuxiang Toll Station, then follow the connecting road with clear road signs all the way to the destination.

After exiting from Jiuxiang Toll Station on the Yaxi Expressway, drive 1 kilometer along the connecting road, turn left into the Flower & Fruit Township Scenic Area and continue straight ahead to reach Flower Goddess Square, the main venue of the Hanyuan Flower Viewing, Tourism and Culture Month.
