Local Specialties of Yingkou
Yingkou Musical Instruments
Yingkou takes full advantage of its unique timber resources and selects rare high-quality wood to craft various musical instruments, which sell well across China and around the globe. It is also one of China’s four major musical instrument manufacturing bases, renowned worldwide for products such as modulating guzheng, pianos, violins and accordions.
The improved modulating guzheng has breathed new vitality into the 3,000-year-old traditional guzheng. It delivers superior, richer and louder tones with stronger expressive power, emerging as a standout ancient instrument in modern orchestras. Its pianos, accordions and double basses also enjoy an excellent reputation.
Wangershan Grapes
In 2000, the ecological environment of the planting base in Hongqi Town passed inspections on air, water and soil conducted by the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Ecological and Environmental Protection. The fruits also passed product testing. The base was certified by the China Green Food Development Center as a 10,000-mu green food production base for Kyoho and Red Globe grapes, and registered the brand "Wangershan".
