This is the birthplace of the love legend between the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl.

Head for the picturesque Mountain of Love. You can visit the Lotus Pond, Welcome Dam, Tianhe Lake, Diexian Valley, Lingbo Lake, Lingxue Lake, Wanglang Pavilion, Heavenly Gate, Pearl Spring, Potholes, Galaxy Valley, Red River Valley, Lovers’ Valley and Water-dripping Cliff. Continue your trip to the Qixi Love Culture Exhibition Hall, Immortal Peak, Cowherd Village, Weaver Girl Temple, Magpie Bridge and Matchmaker Peak. You may also explore Erlang Gorge and the World’s No.1 Female Rock. Watch the performance of Taihang macaques and pay a visit to the Exhibition Hall of Ancient Chinese Sex Culture.

Tianhe Villa is right at the scenic entrance. Farmhouses are available in Qingquan Village at the foot of the mountain, together with roadside restaurants, bringing great convenience. Prices are moderate. Farm homestays near the scenic spots serve both meals and accommodation. There is a rich supply of wild vegetables and game in the mountains. Local dishes include Hebei-style tofu, hand-rolled noodles, vegetable tofu, bean porridge, big-pot stew and various wild greens.

There is a small village at the foot of Tianhe Mountain. Overnight stay there is not recommended as it gets cold at night. Luluo Town lies a short distance to the east of Tianhe Mountain, where you can choose cheap inns.

Buses run from Xingtai Bus Station to Lincheng County. Upon arriving at Lincheng Bus Station, buy a ticket directly for the cave and you will reach Kongshan Baiyun Cave. Five cave halls have been explored and developed in the scenic zone, namely the Human World, Paradise, the Underworld, the Dragon Palace and the Maze. You can admire the tallest stone pillar known as the Sky-supporting Pillar and countless stalactites. The cave looks stunning under colorful lights. Afterwards, travel a short distance to Qishan Lake Scenic Area. Along the north bank stretches a painted corridor shaped like a rainbow, with carved beams and painted rafters winding across shimmering water. You can also see pavilions, terraces, towers, waterside houses and bridges with distinctive architectural styles.

Fresh fish dishes in small restaurants around Qishan Lake are the local highlight, including stewed fish chunks and braised snakehead with eggplant. You can even catch fish yourself and ask the restaurant to cook for you. There are plenty of local eateries across Lincheng County. Authentic Lincheng cured meat is well-known. Try Huibu Crossing Restaurant, about three kilometers north of the county seat, which has a long history and keeps the traditional flavor.

Most lodging near Kongshan Baiyun Cave are simple guest houses. It is better to stay in Lincheng County, where you can find well-equipped hotels.

Start your visit with the former site of the Anti-Japanese University for a red-themed tour. The Memorial Hall, Monument and large relief carvings serve as patriotic education bases. Take a vehicle to the rear parking lot and climb Zuohua Mountain for natural scenery. On the way stands a hundred-meter corridor comparable to that in the Summer Palace. Daring Gorge is the only passage leading uphill. Standing on the summit of Zuohua Mountain, the highest point of the whole scenic area, you can overlook rolling mountains far and wide. Later, you can pick fruits or enjoy flowers in many orchards: cherry vineyards, grape vineyards, peach orchards, thin-shell walnut gardens and rose gardens according to the ripening season.

You can taste exotic fresh fruits in the Qiannanyu Ecological Sightseeing Zone. Xingxiang Restaurant offers high-grade feasts, while farm inns serve genuine home-style dishes. Do not miss Xingtai Daokou Braised Chicken, a famous meat specialty of the region.

Numerous hotels and guest houses are available in Xingtai County. Inside the scenic zone, you have Xingxiang Hotel as well as farm homestays.
