Golden Milk Source Belt
The latitude range of 40° to 50° North is internationally recognized as the Golden Milk Source Belt. The world’s finest pastures are concentrated in temperate grasslands roughly between 40° and 50° of both northern and southern latitudes.
Numerous factors including seasonal temperature and humidity, soil composition, water sources and rainfall conditions shape the growing environment of forage grass and the raising conditions for dairy cows and goats. These elements also serve as decisive determinants of fresh milk quality, covering key indicators such as protein content, milk fat content, milk solids, total milk solids and cleanliness.
All of the world’s top pastures and premium dairy products originate within these two latitude zones in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, hence they are collectively known as the two major "Golden Milk Source Belts" of the globe.
Scenic Durbot is located at 46.87° North Latitude, right at the heart of the Golden Milk Source Belt. It boasts one of China’s largest high-quality grasslands. Yili has built its largest infant formula milk powder production base in Asia here, which stands as the leading local dairy enterprise.
