Introduction to Jinhai Snow Mountain Scenic Area, Guiding County
I. Scenic Area Overview
Jinhai Snow Mountain Scenic Area is situated in Guiding County. Its core area falls under Panjiang Town, while Maba and Xiaozhai in the southern part belong to Yanshan Town.
The scenic area is 2 kilometres away from the government seat of Panjiang Town. National Highway 210 runs diagonally across the whole town, and the Guiyang-Xinyi Expressway passes through the territory with an interchange, which is one of the two interchanges in Guiding County.
Jinhai Snow Mountain lies within Guiyang’s one-hour economic circle. With the construction of two major high-speed transport lines—the Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway and the Xiamen-Chengdu Expressway, as well as the Changsha-Kunming high-speed railway, the travel time between Jinhai Snow Mountain and the Pearl River Delta, Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Kunming and other cities will be greatly shortened.
Geographic Location
The scenic spot sits on the major transportation artery connecting Guizhou with Guangdong, Guangxi and Hunan. It is 11 kilometres from the county seat, 43 kilometres from Guiyang, the provincial capital, and 34 kilometres from Longdongbao International Airport.
Its geographic coordinates are between 107°08′–107°13′ east longitude and 26°27′–26°34′ north latitude, well within Guiyang’s one-hour economic circle.
Convenient Transportation
The Guiyang-Xinyi Expressway cuts across Panjiang Town. Visitors can take Qiannan Transport coaches from Guiyang Railway Station to the Panjiang ramp exit.
This is an open scenic area free of admission charges.
Travellers may also take high-speed trains to Changming Station on the Xiamen-Chengdu Expressway or Guiyang-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, then transfer to rural minivans heading for Jinhai Snow Mountain.
Cultural & Humanistic Environment
There are 20 Buyi villages within the tourist zone: Pingbao, Maidong, Shitoubao, Dapozhai, Zhulinbao, Yinzhai, Taipingzhai, Xiaopingsi, Xialuohai, Zhongluohai, Shangluohai, Luosang, Longxibao, Xiaozhai, Jiaxi, Mengran, Shijiazhuang, Huangtukan, Liujiazhuang and Tongdi.
