Bolu Mountain Scenic Area
Bolu Mountain Scenic Area is a National 3A-level Tourist Attraction and a Provincial Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site.
It boasts the Shanyang Millennium Pear Orchard, which spans over 2,000 mu and contains more than 30,000 ancient pear trees. This pear grove is the oldest and largest cluster of ancient pear trees across Weifang City.
Starting from 2010, the annual Shanyang Pear Blossom Festival is held in mid-April and lasts for half a month. During the festival, visitors may climb Bolu Mountain, admire the thousand-year-old pear orchard, and taste pear blossom dumplings.
The scenic area has constructed numerous attractions, including Zhaohua Platform, Smooth Ascent to Success, Bagua Mill Tower, Red Gorge Lake, Red Stone Gorge Waterfall, Rose Garden, Peony Garden, Moutan Peony Garden, Pomegranate Garden, Rape Flower Terraces, the Statue of Pear Blossom Fairy, and Xieying Pond. It is an eco-tourism resort suitable for all seasons: wandering the garden and appreciating flowers in spring, escaping the heat and relaxing in summer, enjoying scenery and tasting fresh pears in autumn, and climbing mountains for panoramic views in winter.
The scenic area officially launched enclosed operation in April 2015.
