Green Expo Garden

Green Expo Garden is a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site and National Leisure Agriculture & Rural Tourism Demonstration Site. It lies 10 kilometers southeast of downtown Changyi City, bordering the Wei River to the west and Provincial Highway 221 to the east.

Construction of the garden broke ground in April 2003, with a total investment of over 300 million RMB and a land area of more than 2,000 mu. Its scenic spots include a seedling trading hall, variety exhibition garden, bonsai garden, folk custom garden, international exhibition hall, tropical plant pavilion, bronze ware museum, Jialan Temple, Chongsheng Pagoda, Chinese Sentiment Garden, a Christian church, a zoo and an amusement park.

As the core zone for Changyi’s seedling industry, the garden has served as the main venue for successive editions of the Northern China Green Seedling Expo.

The garden embodies ancient northern Chinese architectural styles and craftsmanship, as well as rare landscape trees and high-quality seedlings and flowers from home and abroad. It integrates the cultures of the Wei River, bronze, silk, overseas Chinese and the martial arts top scholar into its landscape layout. Every corner of Green Expo Garden boasts exquisitely designed scenery. Strolling through the garden allows visitors to appreciate the delight and artistic conception of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Benefiting from strong support and assistance from governments at all levels, the garden has achieved remarkable development. It has evolved into an all-in-one tourist destination integrating seedling exhibition and trading, scientific and technological information exchange, ecological sightseeing, catering, leisure and entertainment. It also serves as a venue for cultural exchanges, theoretical seminars, conferences and expositions.
