Hidden Dragon Hundred Waterfalls Scenic Area is located in Tianhuangping, Anji County, Zhejiang Province. It is 25 kilometers away from the county seat and 62 kilometers from Hangzhou, and merely one kilometer from Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station, the largest of its kind in Asia. A newly developed primitive ecological scenic spot, it nestles amid dense forests, precipitous cliffs and countless winding cascades, hence the name "Hundred Waterfalls". The tallest waterfall boasts a drop of 60 meters, forming a rare waterfall cluster across Zhejiang Province.
As an old saying goes, hidden treasures lie deep in remote mountains. The scenic area is home to various wild animals, precious Chinese medicinal herbs and nearly a hundred varieties of nationally protected tree species. Peaks over one thousand meters high stand facing each other on both sides of the valley, dotted with grotesque rocks, emerald pools and towering ancient trees, accompanied by fresh, pure air. Waterfalls, deep pools and mountain streams rumble like dragons roaring, presenting an untouched, rustic natural landscape.
The scenic area enjoys cool, quiet and elegant summers. In winter, all waterfalls freeze into crystal ice formations, forming stunning natural ice wonders and enchanting snow scenes known as an "unmatched marvel south of the Yangtze River". The breathtaking scenery lingers long in visitors' memories. Wooden bridges, plank walkways, thatched covered corridors and suspension bridges further add delight to your sightseeing journey.
