Hongze Lake Wetland Birdwatching Park (National 3A-level Tourist Attraction)

Located at the Fourth Forest Farm of Chengtou Township, Sihong County, the park covers an area of 1,380 hectares. It boasts dense forests with more than 110 varieties of plants and around 194 species of birds.

Herons constitute the dominant bird species, among which cattle egrets, pond herons, grey herons and little egrets are the most numerous. At the peak of bird habitation, hundreds of thousands of birds gather here, forming a spectacular scene. Designated as the Jiangsu Provincial Education Base for Teenagers to Love and Protect Birds, it is also a nationally renowned egret photography base and a paradise for photographers.

The scenic spot well preserves the original ecological features of wetland forests. Lush woods, fresh air, crystal clear lake water and singing birds create a strong rustic charm. It is a distinctive lakeside forest park integrating forest sightseeing, conference tourism, leisure vacations and interactive entertainment.
