Xia Tianxia Tourist Area is China’s first mountain-and-water scenic spot themed on knight-errant culture. It is situated in Tangchuan Township, Youxi County, Fujian Province, adjacent to Jinsha Town in Minqing County. It lies 78 kilometres from Fuzhou, with a driving time of only 1.5 hours.

Covering 8,800 mu with a total investment of roughly 2 billion yuan, the resort consists of four scenic zones — Jianghu (Martial World), Xiagu (Knight Valley), Lulin (Greenwood Outlaws) and Shijing (Ancient Marketplace). It also has three accommodation facilities: a boutique hotel, Warrior Stockade and high-end resort hotel, plus two transportation hubs — bamboo raft rides on the calm lake and alpine cableways.

The scenic area perfectly integrates knight-errant culture with mountain gorges and lakes, creating the world’s only real-life “knight-errant wonderland”. It serves as an all-in-one tourist destination for sightseeing, leisure holidays and immersive interactive experiences.

At present, three zones — Knight Valley, Martial World and Greenwood Outlaws — are fully open to visitors. Many attractions here are pioneering nationwide: an interactive waterfall over a thousand feet tall, a nearly thousand-foot-high suspended glass skywalk, and the high-speed greenwood water slide. Live knight-errant performances combine martial arts stunts with sound, light and digital effects, transporting audiences into a world of clashing swords and chivalrous romance.

Knights’ cottages, courier stations, mountain stockades and manors loom among the gnarled ancient trees in the deep primeval forest. Beneath the thousand-foot waterfall, even more spectacular than Lushan Waterfall, thrilling martial arts tournaments unfold. Every visitor gets to play the role of a kung fu hero. Travellers can step into a real martial arts realm, learn kung fu from authentic Shaolin disciples and compete for the title of martial arts league leader.

The high-speed greenwood water slide stretches 1,680 metres with a vertical drop of 138 metres, bringing nonstop thrills and screams as riders twist around hills and skim over water. Meanwhile, the glass skywalk spans nearly 300 metres at a height of one thousand feet; the heart-stopping crossing makes visitors feel proud even to crawl across it.
