Baoma Peony Garden lies 26 kilometers away from Tianchi Lake of Changbai Mountain. Covering an area of 200 mu, it is China’s largest single alpine garden dedicated to peonies and herbaceous peonies with the most extensive planting scale of its kind.
The garden features eight major flower color systems including red, yellow, pink, white, purple, dark green and multi-color varieties, totaling 106 peony cultivars. Every June and July, over a million peonies and herbaceous peonies burst into bloom one after another. Wandering amid this gorgeous sea of flowers, you will feast your eyes on riotously colorful peonies and fragrant herbaceous peonies competing in beauty.
The red blooms resemble graceful flying swallows clad in luxurious robes, symbolizing wealth and nobility; the white blossoms look like Lady Yang emerging from a bath, delicate and charming. Strolling through the garden, breathing in the rich fragrance of peonies and savoring the sweet scent of herbaceous peonies will fill your heart with sheer delight and complete relaxation.
