The Bulong Hot Spring is located at an altitude of 2,520 metres. The water temperature remains steady at 38℃ to 40℃ all year round. The spring water is alkaline with a pH value ranging from 8.6 to 9.0. It contains abundant chemical components and meets the national classification criteria for medical mineral water in China. The contents of radon, hydrogen sulfide, silicic acid and fluorine are moderate. In addition, it contains more than 30 trace elements including potassium, sodium, magnesium, bromine, iron, zinc and lithium, which exert special biological effects on the human body.

Bathing in the spring water can relieve early cerebral arteriosclerosis, hypertension, coronary heart disease, various types of arthritis and skin diseases. Inhalation of the steam helps treat bronchitis, neuralgia and migraine.

The hot spring is surrounded by blooming mountain flowers and lush green grass. Tall and verdant pine and fir trees stand alongside graceful poplars and birches, forming a layered and well-proportioned plant community.
