The Azna Mosque is located at the East Gate of the old town in Shache County. First built in 1470, it boasts a history of nearly 600 years.

Constructed with earth and brick, the main body of the mosque was erected without timber. Its foundation was laid with bricks, and it features a total of 52 domes. There is one central dome in the courtyard, with a top diameter of 6 meters and a height of 15 meters. The interiors of the other 51 domes are all finished with plaster, and all main pillars are built with blue bricks. In recent years, the mosque has suffered damage from natural disasters such as rain and snow.

Covering a total area of 1,581 square meters, including a construction area of 1,100 square meters, the mosque can accommodate 5,000 worshippers. It is a historical relic that embodies the integration of Buddhist and Islamic cultures.
