Changshou National Forest Park is located about 15 kilometres southeast of Binxi Town, covering a total area of 23.6 square kilometres. It is the nearest forest eco-tourism resort to Harbin. Thanks to the care and support from relevant government departments over the years, the park has achieved rapid construction and sound development. It has grown into a tourist attraction integrating skiing, holiday-making and leisure entertainment. In 2002, Changshou National Forest Park was rated as a national AA-level tourist area by the Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Administration.

The park features steep peaks, dense forests and deep valleys. Jagged rocks of varied shapes stand vividly here, making it an ideal destination for forest exploration, hunting, winter skiing, as well as natural forest bathing. Major scenic spots include the Longevity Stone, Prime Minister Peak, Baboon Rock, Sky-supporting Peak, Camel Peak, Nine-Turn Cave, Bat Cave and Little Huashan Mountain. Other attractions are Narrow Sky, Longevity Spring, Sister Cliffs, Cloud-piercing Cave, North-facing Mountain, Rime Slope and Immortal Cave. The park receives around 200,000 tourists every year.

There is a turtle-shaped stone at the park entrance. When Xu Youfang, then Minister of Forestry, inspected the site, he named it "Changshou (Longevity) National Forest Park".

The park boasts extremely rich natural resources. More than 20 rare wild animal species live here, including roe deer, sable, mandarin duck and hazel grouse. There are also hundreds of varieties of berries, medicinal plants and fungi. Exotic flowers and plants can be seen everywhere in the woods: snow-white Manchurian lilac, colourful Rhododendron dauricum, fragrant wild roses and elegant white lily of the valley. They bloom one after another in spring and summer, filling the air with sweet fragrance.

Changshou Mountain Ski Resort is a large comprehensive SSS-level tourist ski resort with 15 high, medium and beginner ski runs, stretching a total length of 17,000 metres. It can accommodate nearly 10,000 skiers at the same time. In addition, the resort has built an endangered wild animal rescue and breeding centre, an outdoor survival training centre, as well as many hotels and holiday villages and other supporting facilities.
