To eternally commemorate both known heroes and nameless martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national liberation, carry forward the spirit of the Northeast United Resistance Army, inherit revolutionary traditions, and conduct patriotic education for younger generations, on the 60th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in 2005, the people of Fangzheng erected a monumental sculpture group of resistance heroes with profound historical and commemorative significance. The monument stands on the former site of the Northeast United Resistance Army on West Hill of Daluomi Town in eastern Fangzheng.
Comrade Chen Lei, former Governor of Heilongjiang Province and a veteran soldier of the Northeast United Resistance Army, personally inscribed an epigraph on the base of the sculpture group.
