Daluomi River (Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army Site) Rafting

Daluomi River Rafting is located in Daluomi Town, Fangzheng County, 36 kilometres away from the county seat. The rafting route stretches 8 kilometres in total.

In the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Daluomi River served as a water transportation route for the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army. Many hidden barracks were built along both riverbanks, making outstanding contributions to the final victory of the war. The ammunition depot is the best-preserved historical site here. After renovation, it has been opened to tourists. An underground dwelling once inhabited by anti-Japanese soldiers stands at the starting point of the rafting trip, bringing visitors back to the scenes of combat and daily life of the revolutionary fighters.

While enjoying a pleasant holiday, tourists can receive patriotic education and cherish the hard-won happy life today. The river winds gently with mild currents. Lush weeping willows line the scenic banks. The water depth varies little, and the riverbed is covered with fine sand, making this rafting route suitable for visitors of all ages.

To honour the anti-Japanese martyrs and promote patriotic education, the county government invested 1 million yuan in 2004 to build the "Fangzheng Memorial Site for Heroes of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army" on Huagongji Mountain at the end of the rafting course. Covering an area of 20,000 square metres, the memorial site features a hero sculpture group, pine forest and stone steles. This memorial site has injected new cultural connotations into Daluomi River rafting and become a new highlight of red tourism in Fangzheng County.
