Mengniu Dairy Headquarters Industrial Tourism Scenic Area (National AAAA Level)

Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in August 1999 and launched its industrial tourism program in the same year. Alongside the group’s continuous expansion, the industrial tourism project has undergone constant refinement and upgrading. In July 2007, Mengniu Dairy Headquarters Industrial Tourism Scenic Area was completed, put into operation and opened to visitors in the Shengle Industrial Park of Horinger County. Covering a plant area of 170,000 square metres, it is a modern intelligent factory integrating world-leading international standards of internationalisation, intellectualisation, large-scale production, three-dimensional layout, exhibition design, customisation, differentiated experience and systematic operation.

Dedicated sightseeing corridors are built inside the production plant. With innovative design concepts, multiple themed smart tour routes are developed centred around a single glass of milk. Visitors can learn about the enterprise’s production workflows, advanced manufacturing techniques and corporate culture during their sightseeing, and enjoy fun zero-distance interactions with the brand. The open factory is connected to open pasture sightseeing zones upstream. While deepening visitors’ understanding of dairy culture, it subtly enhances their recognition and trust in the brand, making it an innovative cross-industry model for industrial sightseeing and leisure.

The scenic area has received numerous honours: National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction, National Agricultural and Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site, Demonstration (Research) Base for Chinese Corporate Culture Construction, Excellent Tourist Attraction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hohhot Municipal Patriotic Education Demonstration Base, Top Ten Influential Brands of China’s Agricultural and Industrial Tourism, and Top Ten Advanced Entities for Chinese Corporate Culture Construction.
