Brief Introduction to Kangping Tourism

Kangping lies in northern Shenyang, at the junction of Liaoning, Jilin and Inner Mongolia. It is 110 kilometres away from downtown Shenyang and 140 kilometres from Taoxian International Airport, with a population of 370,000.

Boasting scientific urban planning, complete infrastructure and convenient transportation, Kangping is traversed by the Changchun–Shenzhen Expressway, Shenyang–Kangping Expressway, National Highway 203 and Provincial Highway 303.

Within the county converge Wolong Lake, the largest plain freshwater lake in Liaoning; Jinshatan, a unique desert landscape in the province; Ten-Thousand-Mu Pine Forest with vast stretches of woodland and grassland; and the Liao River, known as the "Mother River of Liaoning". Travellers can enjoy desert scenery without leaving Shenyang, and soon after leaving the dunes, they will find themselves surrounded by lush woods and expansive blue waters.
