Lord Chen Grand Temple is located in Qianxi Village, Zhongfang Town, Luoyuan County. First built in the Song Dynasty, it is a single-bay wooden complex covering a land area of 1,115 square metres, consisting of three sections: the Main Hall, Side Halls and an opera stage.

The Main Hall boasts a construction area of nearly 400 square metres supported by twenty-eight drum-shaped round columns. Remarkably, not a single nail was used throughout the entire structure, earning it the reputation of a "treasure south of the Yangtze River".

In 2001, Lord Chen Grand Temple was inscribed on the list of the Fifth Batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level. Originally a memorial shrine dedicated to Chen Su, the temple traces its origins to this revered figure. A native of Gushi in Henan Province, Chen Su retreated to Caofeng in Luoyuan at the end of the Tang Dynasty. He taught local villagers farming, sericulture and moral codes of conduct. After his passing, locals deified him and bestowed upon him the official title Grand Commandant.

The ancestral shrine was later renamed a divine palace and came to be known as Lord Chen Grand Temple. Expanded through the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, three main halls were added, followed by an opera stage and a main gate building, all constructed with column-and-tie timber framing. Within the single compound, architectural styles spanning the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties coexist and harmoniously integrate with one another, leading cultural relics experts to hail it as a "museum of ancient architecture".
