Zhannan Pavilion
After disembarking at Nan'ao Ferry Terminal, drive counterclockwise along the island ring road. The road winds alternately along the coastline and through mountain valleys, lined with lush green trees where the sea merges seamlessly with the sky. The scenery is reminiscent of Dalian Coastal Road as it was two decades ago.
Drive roughly a dozen kilometres to reach the county seat, then continue another eight kilometres to Zhannan Pavilion. Though a relatively new structure, it blends beautifully with the surrounding mountain and sea vistas, making it an ideal spot for photos.
Nan'ao Island launched its bid to become a national AAAA-level tourist attraction in 2003. After two years of dedicated efforts, the National Tourism Administration officially awarded Nan'ao Island the official AAAA scenic area plaque in January 2005. Zhannan Pavilion was built to showcase the charm of Nan'ao’s AAAA-level tourism resources and enrich the island ring sightseeing landscape.
