Rated as a National 1A-level Tourist Attraction, the park is situated in Kuaimamao Town, Tonghua County, with its highest peak standing 536 meters high. Equipped with leisure pavilions, fitness trails, viewing platforms and outdoor fitness facilities, the mountain earns its local nickname "Hat Mountain". After rainfall, the summit is always shrouded in dense mist, looking as if wearing a big hat from a distance.
Though not tall, the mountain has a unique landform and is covered with lush coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests, presenting pleasant scenery. Standing alone in the downtown area of Tonghua County and adjacent to residential quarters, Maoshan Park is open to the public free of charge all year round and serves as a major leisure destination for local residents.
