Located in Daquanyuan Township, Gangshan Ridge reaches 1,347 meters at its summit. It is the third highest peak in Jilin Province and the highest mountain in Liaoning Province, with well-preserved ecological environment. The mountain boasts peculiar, elegant and gorgeous landscapes, and its hillsides are covered with maple forests. In late autumn, the whole mountain is dyed red by fallen leaves, forming a stunning red leaf slope.
Featured attractions include Gangshan Stone Peaks, Gathering of Five Dragons, Old Dragon Bay Pond, Little Dragon Bay Pond, Immortal Cave, Narrow Sky, mountain streams and the spectacular red leaf slopes, as well as panoramic views of surrounding mountains.
According to field surveys and feasibility studies, the area enjoys high-quality snow, abundant snowfall and a long snow season, making it ideal for building a world-class ski resort for top-level competitions. The Tonghua (Gangshan) International Ski & Tourism Resort Master Plan (Tentative) has been completed, and the total investment of the project is planned at 20 billion RMB.
