Yudu lies in eastern Ganzhou, 65 km from Ganzhou and 422 km from Nanchang. It borders Ruijin to the east, Anyuan to the south, Ganxian to the west, and Xingguo/Ningdu to the north. A hilly area with higher terrain in the east/south/north and lower in the center/west, it’s crisscrossed by the Gong, Mei, and Lian rivers. Known for its beautiful mountains, rivers, and cultural relics, it has over 10 developed "red, green, ancient" scenic spots, including the First Crossing of the Long March Memorial Park (East Gate Ferry), Mao Zedong’s Former Residence (Hewu), Pingshan Pasture (Jiangxi’s largest alpine pasture), Luotianyan Cliff Carvings, and Baota Park.
