Located alongside the Mingjiang River in the heart of Lingshan County, Liufeng Mountain consists of six main peaks: Dragon Head Peak, Phoenix Tail Peak, Turtle Back Peak, Crane Stand Peak, Precious Barrier Peak and Soaring Peak. Covering an area of 540,000 square meters, its highest peak stands 343 meters above sea level with a relative height of 182 meters.
Ancient towering trees, exquisite scenery and fresh air prevail throughout the area. Winding paths thread among grotesque rocks. The magnificent peaks resemble dancing dragons, soaring phoenixes, crouching turtles and standing cranes, rising steeply towards the sky. Ancient scholars hailed it as the "Second Wushan Mountain", as described in a poem: Its peaks stretch high like half of Wushan, yet surpass Wushan’s twelve ranges. Back in the Song Dynasty, the scenic spot known as "Six Stone Screens" was already famed as a paradise on earth, attracting countless visitors.
