Dagang Mountain Waterfall
As a branch of the Wugong Mountain range, Dagang Mountain stretches from Yichun and slopes gently from west to east.
Huang Zicheng, a prominent minister in the early Ming Dynasty, wrote in Records of Dagang Mountain: Seventy li south of Qianyang (referring to the old county seat of Fenyi, now submerged in Qianyang Lake of Jiangkou Reservoir) stands Dagang Mountain. Its towering ridges connect four ancient prefectures: Ancheng, Yuanzhou, Jizhou and Linjiang.
Standing atop the mountain, one can overlook all towns of Yuanzhou and Jizhou. The lofty peaks wind around, with a spacious cave in the mountainside measuring more than ten zhang in width. Countless unique rock formations scatter across the area.
To the front sits the Guanyin on Lotus Throne rock formation, alongside the distinctive Zhaipan Mountain and Hanging Wall Cave. Surrounding it is Umbrella Peak, featuring the magnificent Stone Ox Ridge and cascading waterfalls. Further downhill, Xiangong Pond collects the mountain streams, and Lion Rock guards the water exit. Tall stone shoots reach toward the sky, while overhanging pine trees bow to the ground. Locals call the stone shoots "Pillars Holding Up the Sky", and the pine trees here are as graceful as those in Tianzhu Mountain.
