Mudanjiang City English Introduction
Mudanjiang, the central city in the southeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, is nicknamed the City of Snow. It gets its name from the Mudanjiang River running through the urban area. It is a China Excellent Tourism City and a vital port city opening up to Russia.

Location
It lies in southeastern Heilongjiang at the heart of the Northeast Asian Economic Circle. It borders Russia to the east with a borderline stretching around 209 kilometers and adjoins Jilin Province to the south.

It features a temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. Winters see heavy, high-quality snowfall, while summers are pleasantly cool, earning it the reputation of "Jiangnan Beyond the Great Wall".

The world’s largest breeding base for Siberian tigers, known as the "Hometown of Chinese Tigers".
- Weihushan Film Studio
The filming location of Tracks in the Snowy Forest, where tourists can experience the wilderness scenery and the culture of suppressing bandits in the novel.
- Site of Longquanfu, Upper Capital of the Bohai Kingdom
Ruins of the capital of the Bohai Kingdom in the Tang Dynasty, relics of the prosperous "Eastern Maritime Kingdom".

The landmark downtown attraction. In winter, it hosts dazzling light shows at the giant snow castle and a popular giant snowman for photo-taking.

High-speed Rail
The Harbin-Mudanjiang High-speed Railway takes around 1.5 hours to reach Harbin; the Mudanjiang-Jiamusi High-speed Railway connects to Jiamusi.
Air
Hailang Airport, the second-largest international airport in Heilongjiang, operates flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other major cities nationwide.
Highway
National Highways G10 and G11 run through the city. Direct tourist shuttle buses connect downtown to China Snow Town and Jingpo Lake.
