Public Buses in Shenzhen

There are currently 201 public bus routes in Shenzhen, including 126 routes within the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, 30 routes in Bao'an District, and 31 routes connecting Bao'an and Longgang Districts.

Buses run frequently across the entire city, with departures roughly every five minutes on each route. All buses are equipped with stop announcement systems. The regular operating hours are generally from 06:30 to 22:30. Fares range from 1 to 7 yuan for ordinary buses, and 2 to 10 yuan for air-conditioned buses. Most buses operate on a self-service ticketing basis, while some charge fares by travel sections.

After minibuses were phased out of urban areas, additional night bus services were launched. These routes start with the letter N and run until 2:00 a.m.

A discount of 0.4 yuan is available for each transfer between buses and metro, or between different bus routes. A Shenzhen Tong card offers an overall 20% discount on all rides.
