Transportation within Shenzhen

The first phase of Shenzhen Metro comprises 20 stations. Line 1 runs east to west. Starting from the busy Luohu Port, it passes through the bustling downtown area, covering Guomao, Laojie, Grand Theater, Science Museum, Huaqiang Road, Gangxia, Convention & Exhibition Center, Shopping Park, Xiangmihu, Chegongmiao, Zhuzilin, Overseas Chinese Town East, Overseas Chinese Town, and terminates at Window of the World.

Line 4 runs south to north. It starts at Huanggang and goes through Fumin, Convention & Exhibition Center, Civic Center, and ends at Children's Palace.

Convention & Exhibition Center Station is an interchange for Line 1 and Line 4. A train depot and operation control center are located at Zhuzilin Station.

The metro adopts a section-based fare system. The base fare is 2 yuan for travel across 3 sections, and an additional 1 yuan is charged for each subsequent section. A full trip from Luohu Station to Window of the World Station on Line 1 costs 5 yuan.

Operating hours are 06:30 – 23:00 daily. During New Year's Day, the Spring Festival, May Day Holiday and National Day Holiday, service is extended until midnight.
