Taxi Information in Shenzhen

You may hail a taxi on the street at any time, except in no-parking zones. Taxis in Shenzhen come in three colors: red, yellow and green. Green taxis only operate outside the Special Economic Zone. Many local taxi drivers have been awarded star ratings. They possess good tour guide knowledge and decent English skills, offering satisfying services to tourists.

Fares for Taxis Inside the Special Economic Zone

Initial fare: ¥12.5 for the first 3 kilometers; ¥16 during night hours (23:00 – 06:00)
Meter charge: An extra ¥2.4 per kilometer afterwards (¥0.6 for every 250 meters)
Waiting charge: ¥0.8 per minute

Fares for Taxis Outside the Special Economic Zone

Initial fare: ¥7 for the first 2 kilometers
Meter charge: An extra ¥1.6 per kilometer afterwards (¥0.4 for every 250 meters)
Waiting charge: ¥0.8 per minute
