Railway
Wuhan is a vital railway hub in central China. A well-developed rail network consists of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Xiangfan-Chongqing Railway, Wuhan-Danjiangkou Railway, Jiaozuo-Zhicheng Railway, Zhicheng-Liuzhou Railway, Wuhan-Dazhi Railway and other lines.
Numerous trains depart from Wuhan to all cities across Hubei Province every day. There are also direct services to major domestic cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Urumqi, Luoyang, Chongqing, Xi'an, Kunming, Chengdu, Liuzhou, Guangzhou and Nanchang. Over 70 trains originate here daily, and more than 120 trains pass through the city.
Wuhan has two major railway stations: Wuchang Railway Station and Hankou Railway Station. It is among the few large cities in China equipped with two top-grade passenger railway stations. Please check your ticket carefully for the departure station to avoid missing your trip.

Highway
National Highways 107, 316 and 318 run through Wuhan. Together with expressways linking Wuhan to surrounding cities, they form a north-south highway network.
More than 4,000 long-distance bus trips arrive at and depart from Wuhan every day. Buses head for major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Changsha and Zhengzhou, as well as famous tourist destinations such as the Three Gorges, Zhangjiajie, Huangshan Mountain and Jinggangshan. Regular buses also travel to scenic spots within Hubei Province. Most vehicles are large, luxurious and comfortable coaches.
