The Double-ring Pavilion of Longevity in Tiantan Park is made up of a pair of round pavilions with double eaves. The structure is peculiar and strict, and the shape is dignified and proportional. The roof is covered with peacock orchid glazed tiles in bright colors, which is the only remaining example of this ancient building in China. It is said to be built by Emperor Qianlong for his mother's 50th birthday in the 6th year of the Qianlong era (1741 AD). The shape of the pavilion implies a pair of longevity peaches. The steps in front of the pavilion are shaped like two peach tips, which means "harmony, good luck and longevity". The pavilion was relocated from Zhongnanhai in 1975.
