Tou Hu is an evolution of the ancient ritual of shooting, which began in the late Spring and Autumn period. It was a game played during the feast and the winner was decided by the number of arrows thrown into a distant pot. Usually, the pot is large in size, and its neck is decorated with dragon patterns. The front and back of the neck of the pot are decorated with two rising dragons, and the upper part of the belly is carved with animal motifs.
