Weekend Highlights Tour of Shengsi
Day 1: Jihu Beach
Purchase a combined ferry and bus ticket in the morning. The ferry departs from Luchaogang at around 10:00 and arrives at Lizhushan Ferry Terminal in Shengsi at about 13:00.
Spend the afternoon exploring Jihu Beach, a famous scenic spot in Shengsi (admission fee: ¥20). A full range of recreational activities are available on the beach, including jet skis and beach volleyball. Sunbathing is undoubtedly the most delightful pastime here.
Treat yourself to authentic Shengsi seafood for dinner — it is an unmissable experience during your trip. You may inquire at the hotel front desk, as many hotels offer fresh seafood dining services.
At night, bring a flashlight, small shovel and bucket to catch crabs on Jihu Beach. Such tools are available for rent on-site, though the rental prices are relatively high.
Day 2: Liujingtan – Mount Dabei – Nanchangtu Beach
Get up early to watch the sunrise over the sea at Liujingtan, another must-do activity in Shengsi. Afterwards, tour other attractions in the scenic area such as Liujingtou and the First Dragon Chair of the East China Sea; sightseeing will take roughly one and a half hours.
Then head to Mount Dabei, with views of Huanglong Island across the sea along the way. The recommended visiting sequence for Mount Dabei is as follows: first climb the Guanyin Observation Deck to overlook a full panoramic view of the islands, then visit the Mahavira Hall, Lingyin Temple, Heavenly King Hall and other sites. This segment will take around two hours.
Spend the remaining time at Nanchangtu Beach, known as the "Sister Beach" of Jihu Beach (admission fee: ¥10).
End the trip with a hearty seafood meal at a restaurant near Jihu Beach, then board the Feiren Ferry departing at approximately 13:30 for the return journey
