Three-Day Self-Driving Tour in Tai'an

Day 1 After breakfast, visit Dai Temple, the Divine Mansion of the Eastern Mountain (Ticket: ¥30 per person; duration: 1.5 hours). Pay homage to the Great Emperor of the Eastern Mountain, the supreme deity governing official careers and life and death. Then drive to Mount Tai (Ticket: ¥127 per person). Take the scenic shuttle bus (one-way ¥30, round trip ¥60; 30 minutes) to Mid Heaven Gate, and then take the cable car (one-way ¥80, round trip ¥140; around 10 minutes) up to the summit. Standing on the peak, you will feel the poetic grandeur: When you stand on the summit, all other mountains shrink into insignificance. Later return downhill by the same route. In the afternoon, head to Taishan Hot Spring City for hot spring bathing.

Day 2 After breakfast, drive to Fantawild Adventure, known as the Oriental Disneyland. Enjoy top-tier amusement facilities including the 26-meter-high surf ride, Ultimate Soaring and Dinosaur Crisis. In the evening, watch the live show of the Fengshan Ritual or Mount Tai shadow puppetry.

Day 3 After breakfast, drive to Dongping and tour the Water Margin Movie Town to experience the story of Water Margin. Taste the Water Margin Feast for lunch, featuring hearty meat and big bowls of wine. In the afternoon, board a boat at the ancient town wharf and cruise on Dongping Lake, the only remaining part of the ancient 800-li marshland. Enjoy wetland scenery and visit Juyi Island and the No.1 Stockade in the World — the Water Margin Stronghold.

Day 1 After breakfast, travel to Culai Mountain and visit Swinging Rack, Military Headquarters, Two Sages Palace and Liangfu Mountain. After lunch, go to Tianle City Water Park. Experience world-class water rides such as the Giant Trumpet Slide, Kids’ Water Kingdom, wave pool and Super Boomerang, and enjoy water fun.

Day 2 After the meal, depart for Fantawild Adventure. World-class attractions including Star Voyage, Conch Bay, Ultimate Soaring and Dinosaur Crisis will bring you an amazing audio-visual feast.

Day 3 In the morning, visit Dai Temple (Ticket: ¥30; 1.5 hours), including the Cypress Yard of the Han Dynasty and the Geological Museum. Then tour the Mount Tai Flower Youth Scenic Area. After lunch, visit the Beer Zodiac Park to learn about the brewing process of Taishan beer and taste fresh raw beer for free.
