Tai'an Travel Guide: What Are the Regular Travel Routes?

1. The first route is the classic middle hiking path starting from the Red Gate, which was the imperial sacrificial trail in ancient times. This traditional ancient route runs from Dai Temple via the Red Gate all the way to the summit of Mount Tai.
2. The second route follows the mountain ring road open to vehicles, and hiking is also available.

   Tianwaicun (Heaven and Earth Square) → Mountain Ring Road → Bamboo Forest Temple → Huangxi River Reservoir → Mid Heaven Gate → South Heavenly Gate → Jade Emperor Peak.
3. The third route starts from the northwest mountain pass at Taohuayu (Peach Blossom Valley). This route runs along the ring road, and hiking is permitted as well.

   Taohuayu Entrance → Mountain Ring Road → Caishixi Stream → Red-Scale Fish Reserve → Taohuayuan Cableway → South Heavenly Gate → Jade Emperor Peak.
4. The fourth route leads to the northeast mountain pass, commonly known as Tianzhufeng (Heavenly Candle Peak), which is the back mountain of Mount Tai.
