How Many Days Should You Spend in Wuyuan?
Hiking Trips in Wuyuan (Ticket Information Included)
An increasing number of outdoor lovers choose to explore Wuyuan on foot. Below are classic hiking trails, each taking 3 to 4 hours, perfect for casual sightseeing.

Lingjiao to Guankeng
This route connects the eastern and northern scenic zones and is extremely popular among hikers. The whole journey takes three hours.

Likeng (with ticket) to Hongguan
This hike lasts four hours. There are numerous branch paths along the way, so hiring a local guide is highly recommended.

Zhangshan to Likeng
The natural scenery on this trail is fantastic. The hike takes three hours in total.

Likeng to Qinghua
The landscapes are equally stunning, with the whole route covering around three hours.
One-Day Cycling Routes
Route 1: Qinghua to Wolong Valley of Dazhang Mountain (with ticket)
The one-way distance is 18 kilometres, making a round trip of 36 kilometres on fully paved asphalt roads.
You will pass Qinghua Reservoir and Jiangcun Village. This route features pure natural mountain and river scenery with wonderful views.
Be mentally prepared for heavy physical exertion: besides the 36-kilometre ride, you will also walk 4 kilometres inside the canyon.
Route 2: One-Day Trip from Qinghua to Likeng
The one-way stretch is 24 kilometres on asphalt roads.
The last 10-plus kilometres leading to Likeng are especially breathtaking, as the road winds through a deep canyon known as "Little Jiuzhaigou".
The full round trip is 48 kilometres, which is quite challenging.
After reaching Tuochuan, you can extend your trip to Huangcun Village and Xitou Canyon.
Route 3: Qinghua to Sixi and Yancun plus surrounding scenery
One way from Qinghua to Sixi is 13 kilometres. You will pass Changtan, Zhangcun and Yancun along the fully paved road. You can plan a half-day or full-day excursion here.
There are quite a few uphill and downhill sections, so please ride carefully.
Moreover, turn left at Jinzhu Bridge and travel 3 kilometres to Wangcun to see an ancient camphor tree and a beautiful stone arch bridge. The road is now paved with concrete and easy to travel.
Three-Day Classic Tour
Day 1: Likeng (ticket) — Wangkou — Jiangling — Qingyuan
Depart from the county seat toward Jiangling. Stop by Likeng, a water town with small bridges and cottages, Wangkou with the Yu Clan Ancestral Hall, Jiangwan (ticket), the hometown of historical celebrities, and Xiaoqi, an eco-village.
Gaoshan Pinghu is a reservoir with crystal-clear upstream water, grasslands and river beaches along the shore, ideal for camping. You may also stay overnight in Qingyuan Village.
Day 2: Qingyuan — Hongguan — Likeng
Take a vehicle from Qingyuan to Guankeng. Then follow the classic hiking trail from Guankeng to Lingjiao in Zheyuan, which boasts incredible views.
When you reach Hongguan, arrange a farm vehicle to take you to Likeng.
Day 3: Sixi & Yancun (ticket) — Hongcun — Dazhang Mountain
In the morning, visit Sixi and Yancun, which are close to Qinghua.
You can cycle to Hongcun from Qinghua; the round trip is roughly 16 kilometres.
Return to Qinghua at noon and take the bus departing around 13:00 directly to Dazhang Mountain to enjoy the grand canyon scenery (ticket required). Head back to Qinghua Town in the evening.
