The temperature on Lushan Mountain is 7 to 10 degrees Celsius lower than that in Jiujiang. It gets cold in the morning and evening, so please bring a coat.
Do not sightsee while walking, and do not walk while enjoying the scenery.
Fresh water is in short supply on the mountaintop. Hotels only provide hot water for showers within limited hours. Please check the hotel’s hot water supply schedule.
This is an old revolutionary base area with limited infrastructure. Hotel facilities cannot compare with those in big cities. Accommodation standards on the mountain are inferior to those in the city below.
Cuisine varies greatly between northern and southern China. If possible, you may bring some snacks or appetizers from your hometown.
Mountain roads have numerous sharp curves, which may cause carsickness. The dense vegetation attracts mosquitoes and other insects. Please bring basic medicines such as motion sickness pills, essential balm and Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid for emergencies.
During peak tourist season, a shared shuttle system is adopted to ease traffic between scenic areas. Private coaches for individual tour groups are not available. Due to limited vehicles, waiting for one hour for a bus is common during the busy season.
Keep your belongings with you every time you get off the shuttle bus. Lost items are very difficult to recover.
For safety reasons, local traffic regulations prohibit tourist vehicles from driving uphill between 22:00 and 06:00. Please keep this in mind when planning your schedule.
