Two-Day Tour in Liaoyuan

Liaoyuan is a city with a long history and profound culture. Though it lacks renowned grand mountains and famous rivers, it boasts profound cultural heritage and tranquil, relaxing urban scenery. A visit here is well worth your time.

Day 1: Cilu Lake — Triumph Kingdom Water Park

Cilu Lake National Wetland Park

Vast stretches of aquatic plants and wild flowers blanket the wetland. Walking along the straight river dike, cool breezes sweep across the calm lake water, bringing immense comfort and relaxation.
Step into the Guandong Workshop to savour authentic old Northeast flavours. Earthen walls mixed with rice straw and thatched roofs trigger warm childhood memories. Visitors can also take part in hands-on activities such as making red bean buns, spreading pancakes and grinding tofu.
You may also head to Jinzhou Reservoir to watch river crabs, or pick fresh vegetables, muskmelons and strawberries in the picking garden.
Address: Jinzhou Township, Dongliao County, Jilin Province

Triumph Kingdom Water Park

The park features a tsunami wave pool covering over 20,000 square metres. Bring your children to splash and ride the waves in summer for thrilling, joyful fun.
Slide down towering water slides from a great height amid splashing waves — an exhilarating experience for adrenaline lovers!
Address: West side of the road, 100 metres south of the intersection of Tai’an Street and North Section of First Ring Road

Day 2: Fushou Palace — Mituo Temple — Zhalanfenwei Scenic Area

Fushou Palace

Kuixing Tower is the core building of Fushou Palace. Nestled on the southern foothills of Longshou Mountain by the East Liao River in downtown Liaoyuan, it serves as the city’s landmark.
The Taoist halls and pavilions of Kuixing Tower scatter along the mountain slope, with five grand halls ascending all the way to the mountain top. It ranks the largest tower-style architecture in modern times. Especially at night, the tower wrapped in soft lights exudes a solemn, sacred aura.
Address: No.2 Longshan East Road

Mituo Temple

First built in the early 1930s, Mituo Temple is one of the officially open temples in Jilin Province, located on the northern slope of Longshou Mountain in central Liaoyuan.
The temple is fully equipped with a Buddha recitation hall, Dharma hall, library, vegetarian dining hall, monk quarters, abbot’s chamber and lay devotee lodgings. Statues of Sakyamuni Buddha and the Five Hundred Arhats are enshrined inside, presenting a solemn and extraordinary sight.
Address: Northern slope of Longshou Mountain, downtown Liaoyuan

Zhalanfenwei Scenic Area

Zhalanfenwei is an ancient land full of authentic Guandong charm. Stepping inside feels like travelling back more than 300 years to the ancient Shengjing Imperial Hunting Ground. Dense forests and grey brick grey tile architecture you picture can all be found here.
The scenic zone highlights four core cultural themes: the Shengjing Imperial Hunting Ground, the Royal Deer Garden, Guandong Culture and Manchu Folk Customs. It features a unique film and television city and distinctive Northeast-style homestays, offering enough fun to fill half a day or more.
Address: Inside Hancongding National Forest Park, Liaoyuan
