At the easternmost tip of Jiamusi lies the Fuyuan Delta at the confluence of the Heilongjiang River and the Ussuri River, commonly known as Heixiazi Island, which also marks China’s easternmost point. Its representative tourist attraction is the Sanjiang Estuary, boasting diverse and picturesque landscapes. The surging river waters present two distinct colors — black and yellow — which remain clearly separated for dozens of li as they flow eastward without mixing, forming a marvelous natural spectacle.
Jiejinkou nestles against mountains beside the river with delightful scenery. A fishing platform stands tall by the bank, overlooking the vast blue expanse of the Heilongjiang River dotted with shuttling fishing boats. In winter, the boundless ice and snow expanse of the Sanjiang Plain allows visitors to enjoy hunting and skiing. In summer, golden wheat waves ripple, rice blossoms fill the air, layered mountains stretch afar, and rivers crisscross the land.
