Aershan Accommodation Guide
Aershan City is a tourist town with a permanent population of merely 7,000. There is no need to worry much about accommodation. Visitors can choose from numerous family inns, star-rated hotels and large hotels. Given the tiny size of the city, transport to all locations is quite convenient. During peak tourist season, a standard room in an ordinary hotel costs at least 300 to 400 RMB, while discounts of over 50% are available in the off-season.
If you plan to visit the national forest park, it is recommended to stay in Yiershi Town directly. The forest park is located 30 kilometers away from downtown Aershan, and Yiershi boasts plenty of cheap small inns.
Warm Tips for Accommodation in Aershan
- The number of tourists surges in peak season. Make reservations in advance via reputable local travel agencies or inns. Otherwise, you may fail to secure a room, which will disrupt your entire travel schedule and plans.
- Aershan’s tourism industry has expanded rapidly in recent years. One or two short trips here cannot give you a full picture of local market conditions and seasonal pricing. Therefore, do not trust biased personal travel guides online regarding room facilities, seasonal prices, hotel star ratings and other details. Some untrustworthy tourism enterprises deliberately mislead customers for higher markups — for instance, charging three-star rates for two-star standard rooms.
- Budget backpackers may opt for Yiershi Town near Aershan. Accommodation prices there are relatively low, and the town sits close to the national forest park scenic area.
