Where exactly is Aershan in Hinggan League located?
The full name of Aershan is Hara Aershan, a Mongolian term meaning "Holy Hot Springs". Aershan City sits in the northwest of Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, stretching across the southwestern foothills of the Greater Khingan Range. Established as a county-level city in 1996, it is an emerging border tourist and recuperation destination. It serves as an interchange station on the planned China Aershan–Mongolia Choibalsan Railway designed by the United Nations, as well as a junction for the planned China-Mongolia-Russia Railway. It will become a shortcut linking Northeast Asian countries including China, Japan and South Korea with Europe.
